Expert Optical Care Near You

At Matt’s Opticians, we believe that looking after your vision should be a personal, warm, and family-friendly experience. Located on Derby Street in the heart of Atherton, we are a dedicated independent practice founded by a husband-and-wife team. We combined decades of optical industry experience with a passion for community health to create a welcoming alternative to sterile, high-volume national chains.

Our mission is simple: to help you see differently, look good, and feel great. We don't treat our patients as transactions—we focus on continuity of care, taking the time to build long-term relationships with every family, child, working professional, and elderly resident who walks through our doors.

Whether you need a thorough NHS sight test, a private eye examination, diabetic eye care support, or help choosing the perfect pair of prescription frames or contact lenses, we are here for you. We provide professional, affordable, and accessible clinical eye care tailored to your everyday life—across school, work, and play. Come visit us and let’s look toward a brighter tomorrow together!
